CrafterStack exists because finding honest tool reviews shouldn't require watching 47 YouTube videos and reading affiliate-stuffed blog posts.
We started selling on Etsy in 2019. Digital downloads, teacher resources, printable art — the usual suspects. Like every new seller, we searched for tools to help us grow: keyword research, mockup generators, analytics dashboards.
What we found was frustrating. Every "best tools" list was obviously affiliate-driven. Reviews were shallow — screenshots of landing pages with no real testing. YouTube creators pushed whatever paid the highest commission. The Etsy seller community deserved better.
So we built CrafterStack. The tool directory we wished existed.
Every tool here gets a real trial. We connect actual shop data (with permission), track rankings, order samples, test customer support. When we recommend something, it's because we've used it ourselves — not because someone paid us to say nice things.
Yes, we earn affiliate commissions on some links. That's how we fund the testing. But commissions never influence our rankings. If we don't believe in a tool, we don't recommend it — even if it pays well.
No paid placements, no sponsored rankings. Our recommendations come from testing, not advertising budgets. When we call something 'Our Pick', we mean it.
We don't summarize landing pages. Every tool gets a real trial with real shop data. If we haven't used it, we don't review it.
If a tool's pricing is predatory, we say so. If their support is slow, we document it. Honest reviews mean being willing to publish uncomfortable truths.
Tools change. Free tiers get restricted, features get added, companies get acquired. We update reviews when the landscape shifts — not once a year.
We're sellers first. This isn't a content site chasing SEO. We actually use these tools to run real Etsy shops. When a tool fails, we feel it.
We show our work. Claims like "fastest workflow" come with timing data. "Best for beginners" comes from watching actual beginners use it. We document everything.
We say no to easy money. We've turned down paid placement offers. Tools can't buy "Our Pick" badges. Our reputation is worth more than any single commission check.
